LONDON (July 2012) – IBI Group is helping deliver a nationwide initiative to provide travel advice and information via web, print and audio before and during the London Games.

To help the public and businesses prepare for travel around London and the rest of the UK, IBI Group is working with transit operators to promote the “Get Ahead of the Games” campaign, which uses all communications channels, from information leaflets and social media to road signs and railway station audio announcements.

The Spectator Journey Planner website (travel.london2012.com), for example, helps people find their way to venues by transit, bicycle and on foot.

Duncan Elder, of IBI Group, managed the development of the site. “Projects do not really get much bigger than this,” he said. “London won the bid in 2005 on the back of a plan to operate the transport system efficiently and effectively – this project is at the cutting edge of that implementation.”
