Toronto – IBI Group’s King Street Reconstruction project in Kitchener, Ontario, has been selected by the provincial government as a public-realm improvement case study reflective of key Growth Plan policies.

King Street is an award-winning public space improvement that is a key part of Kitchener’s downtown revitalization strategy. The project, covering six blocks of the city’s main street, has provided improved pedestrian facilities, upgraded lighting, and distinctive street furnishings.

Policies the province is promoting include support for transit, mixed-use, high-quality urban design, award-winners, environmental sustainability, and economic success.

The King Street Reconstruction case study is available on the provincial government’s Places To Grow website.
