TORONTO – IBI Group has won National Merit awards from the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects for two projects in Ontario.
IBI Group won for the King Street Reconstruction project in downtown Kitchener, and for the Metrolinx Mobility Hub Guidelines, a framework for the planning and development of transit hubs in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton area.
“Both of these National Merit Awards are evidence of the role that landscape architects can play in changing the quality of the public realm in our built environment,” said Trevor McIntyre, Project Director, and head of IBI Group’s landscape architecture practice. “Our integrated design studio approach allows us to help create positive change – through guidelines like the Mobility Hub project and on built projects like King Street.”
