Victoria Park transit station wins national design award

IBI Group’s renovation of the Victoria Park transit station in Toronto has been honoured by a 2014 National Urban Design Award.

TORONTO – IBI Group’s renovation of the Victoria Park transit station in Toronto has been honoured by a 2014 National Urban Design Award.

The project won a Certificate of Merit in the Civic Design Projects category.

The awards are a collective effort by the RAIC, the Canadian Institute of Planners, and the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects.

The Victoria Park station project has previously won awards from the Ontario Association of Architects, the Federation of Canadian Municipalities, the City of Toronto, the Ontario Concrete Association, and the RAIC.

The National Urban Design Awards will be presented during the RAIC’s Festival of Architecture in Winnipeg from May 28 to 31, 2014.
