Snohomish Aquatic Center design recognized by AS&U

The Snohomish Aquatic Center has received a Citation Award in the 2014 American School and University Architectural Portfolio

PORTLAND – The Snohomish Aquatic Center in Snohomish, Washington, designed by DOWA-IBI Group architects in our Portland office, has received a Citation Award in the 2014 American School and University Architectural Portfolio under the Sports Stadiums/Athletic Facilities category.

The Jury, comprised of architects and education professionals, had this to say about the facility’s design:

“Beautiful aquatic center creating school and community recreational use. Energy efficiencies and revenue fees balance operational costs.”—2014 Jury

American School & University annually awards education organizations and architects for their accomplishments in architectural, interior and sustainable design. The Architectural Portfolio recognizes education design excellence and all award-winning projects will be published in the November issue of the AS&U magazine and featured on schooldesigns.com.
