IBI Group wins six awards at 2014 UDI Awards for Excellence

Four IBI Group architectural projects in Vancouver won a total of six awards at the Urban Development Institute (UDI) Awards for Excellence – Pacific Region.

VANCOUVER – Four IBI Group architectural projects in Vancouver won a total of six awards at the Urban Development Institute (UDI) Awards for Excellence – Pacific Region, announced November 26.

The projects were judged on sustainable building and landscape features, innovative design, and marketing success, as well as integration with transit and the community context.

The award-winning projects are:

564 Beatty Street, an office building in downtown Vancouver, won two awards: Best in Show and Best Heritage. Design architect was IBI/HB Architects; Architect of Record was Bruce Carscadden Architect; and Heritage consultant was Donald Luxton & Associates.

The Mark, a condominium in Yaletown, won Best Urban High-Rise. Design architect was Dialog; Architect of Record was IBI/HB Architects.

The Rolston, a condominium on Granville Street, won Best Urban Infill. Design architect was HOK; Architect of Record was IBI/HB Architects.

The Private Residences at Hotel Georgia, a mixed-use residential/office tower with hotel amenities connected to the historic Hotel Georgia in downtown Vancouver, won two awards: the UDI/Vancouver Sun Readers’ Choice Award for Best Residential High-Rise and Best Environmental Innovation. Architect of Record was IBI/HB Architects.
