Kelly Cobbe has provided engineering design, construction administration and project management services to various local municipalities, regional municipalities and provincial and federal government agencies in Eastern and Southwestern Ontario for 30 years. Leveraging a number of IBI’s core strengths, he has undertaken infrastructure and urban streetscape revitalization projects in the downtown cores of a number of municipalities in Waterloo Region. Past efforts have also included leading the civil design efforts during the preparation of the Waterloo LRT Bid and managing a portion of the Viva H3 BRT project. In addition to his Professional Engineer licensing in Ontario and Manitoba, Kelly was designated as a Consulting Engineer by Professional Engineers of Ontario in 2004. He is a founding member and current past-chair of the Grand River Chapter of Consulting Engineers of Ontario, an active member of the Waterloo Region Homebuilder Association Waterloo Liaison Committee, and a past member of the KW Chamber of Commerce Regional and Municipal Affairs Committee.

Roberto Jenkins specializes in the design and development of mixed-use masterplanning and redevelopment projects, with a particular focus on large, transit-oriented development sites along the US/Canada West coast. Roberto is active in several Bay Area TOD projects, and led the masterplanning and concept architecture of two adjoining phases in the Candlestick Point redevelopment, totaling over 2,000 residential units in 33 acres. Roberto also led the architectural design of the approved Master Development Plan for the Los Angeles Civic Center, a holistic vision to transform that district from 9-5 local government office use into a vibrant 24/7 mixed-use urban center, activated by over three million square feet of new construction. Padraig is a sustainability-focused architect at IBI, guiding projects to reach Net Zero and deliver significant greenhouse gas emission reductions, through innovative and cost-effective measures. He is a Certified Passive House Designer, consulting on IBI’s portfolio of large Passive House buildings across Europe and North America. He was responsible for the architectural detailing on IBI’s first certified passive house building and continues to grow his portfolio in residential, cultural and healthcare buildings, which meet this stringent building energy standard. Padraig’s knowledge of high-performance building is combined with his whole life carbon analysis studies, accounting for embodied carbon to achieve carbon neutral buildings. Working in the UK and North America, lessons learnt from both continents are being applied to broaden IBI’s approach to Net Zero architecture.
