Thomas R. Moore, AIA

Registration Number C21036

A collaborative partner with Tom Blurock since 1984, Tom Moore joined the firm at its inception just after his graduation from Cal Poly Pomona. He is now Vice President and a senior partner at the firm, in charge of quality and cost control, technical issues, in-house interdisciplinary coordination and personnel. Tom has exemplary construction document and field experience and has led the construction of numerous successful school projects for our firm, including new elementary and secondary schools for Santa Ana, Long Beach, Hawthorne, Pomona, and Los Angeles school districts, as well as community college projects for the Coast CCD and the San Bernardino CCD. He has extensive experience with projects built conventionally, with construction managers, and multi-primes. Having served as the building representative for several school districts, he understands the concerns and constraints of all the parties involved in school construction.

Tom has just completed his role as Project Principal/Manager on the FEMA Replacement Projects for Valley College, San Bernardino. Prior to these projects, he was the Project Architect/ Principal for Diamond Ranch High School in Pomona, a $41.5 million, award-winning, state-of-the-art facility. The complexity of this project, including a $13 million site grading component, required an exceptionally solid knowledge of state funding, project phasing, budget control, technical expertise, and the ability to carry out the design through to the smallest construction details. The success of the project is evidence of Tom’s abilities.
