IBI Group ▪ Gruzen Samton boasts a rich legacy for almost 80 years of prominent design and planning projects, including significant projects in New York, Washington, DC, and around the world. We have built an exceptional team of design, planning, and project management professionals dedicated to meeting our clients’ needs and expectations.
We are committed to realizing the goals of our clients. Although our past experience always informs our design work, we view each project as an opportunity to work with the client to seek fresh solutions. We ask many questions, listen critically, and carefully examine the design context, seeking clues for innovative solutions for the specific challenges of each project.
We have received over 100 awards, including several AIA National Honor Awards, AIA New York City Honor Awards, and New York City’s prestigious Bard Award—which we have received more times than any other firm—and have been acknowledged in architectural publications, trade journals, and newspapers nationwide.
We bring a thorough understanding of the LEED™ certification process and the design of high-performance buildings that adhere to budget and schedule constraints. We planned and designed the 1.5 million-sq. ft. EPA headquarters, applying green principles to both the new construction and adaptive reuse, and were awarded the 2006 Grand Prize in the NYC Green Building Competition.
As part of the integrated IBI Group of Firms, we can offer the full spectrum of IB Group services, including planning, transportation and systems services.
