Jacob’s passions for big cities, systems technology, and sustainable mobility align with the work he is involved with as a Transportation EIT. Jacob brings his combination of systems design experience, policy background, and data analytics perspective to help integrate many of IBI Group’s existing practices with the tech-based solutions they are pushing forward. Working with IBI’s Mobility+ teams, Jacob has applied these skills on various transportation projects, ranging from curbside management to transportation demand analytics. His background in policy has enabled Jacob to work with cities to identify their pain points and bottlenecks when dealing with urban transportation. He has also been heavily involved with creating innovative solutions to these issues, with a specific focus on the data and systems integration involved. With his Master’s in Cities Engineering and Management from University of Toronto and Bachelor of Applied Science in Applied Mathematics from Queen’s University, Jacob is constantly looking to better address the complex issues urban centres are facing today.

The biggest strength of IBI is its philosophy of looking at the cities from the dimension of a citizen while working for the betterment of the cities.
Visweswara (Vissu) joined IBI Group as a Transportation Systems Engineer in 2007, fresh out of the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. As one of IBI India’s first hires, he began his career working on tolling and highway Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) implementation projects. Over the last 15 years, he has completed numerous complicated projects in both the consulting and systems implementation domains. With his zest for innovation motivated by actual field application, he played a crucial role in establishing IBI Group as a Systems Technology Leader in the region by completing multiple large projects. The Indore BRT Project—the firm’s first World Bank-funded project in India, which helped the firm secure a stream of World Bank contracts in the years that followed; and the Hyderabad ITMS Project—which aided IBI in building the Software Development practice in Hyderabad, allowing him to contribute to the firm’s new direction. At present, he is very actively involved in transforming the company along with the leadership team towards the aim of making IBI a Technology-Driven Design Firm under IBI’s Digital/ PIVOT initiative. His goal is to make IBI synonymous with Software Product Technology in the domains of Intelligence, Buildings, and Infrastructure.

Richard Mazuch is an architect and designer who gains great satisfaction from translating holistic ideas into radical but pragmatic solutions. An authority on healthcare, Richard provides profound insight into designing for global trends, patient groups and clinical provision – informing key decisions throughout the architectural process. Richard has worked on healthcare projects in Italy, Hong Kong, Brazil, Oman, UAE, and more recently Australia. He has been elected as a World Architecture Jury member, as well as being a University lecturer/examiner and speaker at the International Conferences. Richard has strong relations with key health bodies. Richard works frequently with the NHS and DOH Expert Working Groups and Reference Groups helping to develop new Healthcare Strategies and Guidelines. More recently he has co-authored three key Paediatric Guideline documents entitled: ‘Hospital Accommodation for children and young peopleHBN 23’, ‘Friendly healthcare environments for children and young people’ and ‘Mental Health faculties for children and young people’. Richard was also an active member and contributor to the Expert Reference Group responsible for ‘Facilities for Maternity Care’ HBN21. He was a key contributor to ‘The Children’s National Service Framework’ an NHS and Department of Health document with evaluation process and recommendations Richard made early contributions and document reviews of ‘Creating a Better Health Environment’ an Audit Took Kit by The National Childbirth Trust in 2003.
