Graeme is the Intelligence Sector Lead for UK & Ireland, with responsibility for the strategy, growth and development of IBI’s business in the region, working closely with the sub-sector leads Colin Wilson (consulting services), Duncan Elder (solutions) and Mark Jenkins (operations). He has more than 25 years’ experience in intelligent transport systems and smart cities areas, providing strategic advice and management to public and private sector organisations in the use of technology to support transport networks and city operations.  Project experience ranges from research and feasibility, planning and design through to implementation and operation. Geoff Carter joined IBI Group working in the development of our Advanced Traffic Management Systems software with an emphasis on the mapping display functionality. Geoff now leads IBI’s Advanced Traveller Information web and data interface team. Geoff and his team now support IBI traveller information systems that service roughly 25% of the population in the US, with notable active 511 solutions deployed in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, Florida, Wisconsin and Los Angeles. Geoff led IBI’s efforts for the deployment of the traveller information web site for the Pan Am games. Geoff has led efforts to provide SaaS (Software as a Solution), advanced IBI’s hosting center in Tampa, Florida and has managed the program to productize IBI’s software solution thereby allowing IBI to bring tremendous value to its clients. He is currently leading IBI’s efforts to advance the Event Reporting System and managing the New York and Wisconsin 511 projects.

As building designers, our work should have climate action embedded in every decision. By reducing operational and embodied carbon, buildings, neighbourhoods and cities can have a positive impact on the future of our planet.
Padraig is a sustainability-focused architect at IBI, guiding projects to reach Net Zero and deliver significant greenhouse gas emission reductions, through innovative and cost-effective measures. He is a Certified Passive House Designer, consulting on IBI’s portfolio of large Passive House buildings across Europe and North America. He was responsible for the architectural detailing on IBI’s first certified passive house building and continues to grow his portfolio in residential, cultural and healthcare buildings, which meet this stringent building energy standard. Padraig’s knowledge of high-performance building is combined with his whole life carbon analysis studies, accounting for embodied carbon to achieve carbon neutral buildings. Working in the UK and North America, lessons learnt from both continents are being applied to broaden IBI’s approach to Net Zero architecture.
