As one of Canada’s leading Private Client and Capital Markets financial firms, Canaccord Adams was rapidly expanding their business and required more space and a new brand. They were focused on providing a better work environment for staff, as well as a comfortable setting for clients both existing and potential.

The challenge was to create a new office space which would be an integrated environment, promoting a high quality of service and professionalism, while showing an attention to detail. The design elements were focused in the client areas, creating a cohesive design aesthetic with dark wood, light limestone floors and overall openness which provided a timeless, classic look and an artwork collection to complete the package.

Different business units share a common aesthetic while recognizing functional differences. A one-size-fits-all office and a flexible furniture solution for 1 to 2 persons, was the solution for growth and teaming for the Private Client Department, while multi-teaming offices with open, low workstations were the solution for Capital Markets.

Once this was developed for the Toronto head office, this was also translated in other offices in the UK, New York and Houston. All the offices share the similar look and feel however have their own unique design elements.
