Mr. Kazerouni is the Global Director of Buildings at IBI. Mr. Kazerouni graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a Master’s degree, in 1991. With over 25 years of experience, he has a significant portfolio of projects completed or underway across Canada, the United States, the UK, UAE, Jordan and India. These include high density high-rise residential buildings, hotels, office, retail, institutional, and complex urban mixed-use developments. A number of these projects have been nominated for and received Urban Design and Architectural Design awards. Prior to joining IBI in 2019, Evan was a member of i-lab and Schema Lab at the Viterbi School of Engineering, where his research was supported by a fellowship from the National Science Foundation (NSF), the Department of Energy (DOE) and Autodesk Inc. In practice Evangelos has worked for Graft Architects in Berlin, Studio Pei-Zhu in Beijing, Buro Happold Engineering in Los Angeles, has co-founded Topotheque design research studio and he is the CTO of Fablab Ioannina.Evan holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the Viterbi School of Engineering at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, where he was a fellow of both Onassis and Myronis Foundation. He is licensed in both BC and AB and is familiar with design adaptations to suit each region. He is currently involved in projects surrounding the devastating wildfires that hit Fort McMurray in 2016 and plays a part in ensuring the rehabilitation efforts help residents move back home.
