Her experience at the successful set-up and delivery of these large-scale projects has led to her responsibilities broadening within IBI Group to overseeing QA and Process Improvements. Emma is a confident leader, successfully managing complex supply chain and stakeholder groups. She is experienced at managing large teams in the design and construction of healthcare facilities, and applies her in-depth knowledge in the development and implementation of design processes, schedules and protocols to assist in the management, and coordination of projects. Notable projects include the Queen Elizabeth University & Royal Hospital for Children and the Peterborough City Hospital, which was successfully delivered three months early.

Every building has its own idiosyncratic constraints of context, site, program, budget, and vocabulary. The challenge is to successfully resolve them into a gracefully crafted architectural composition. Our role as designers is to ensure that each building has its own personality and responds appropriately to its urban context. This is what we do best.

Mansoor Kazerouni is a registered architect and has led the IBI Group design team on some of the firm’s most prestigious residential, hotel, office, institutional, and complex mixed-use projects. His work is characterized by thoughtfulness, design excellence, and attention to detail. Mansoor’s contribution to the urban environment has been acknowledged through awards, publications, and appointments to a number of Urban Design Advisory Panels including the cities of Mississauga, Markham and Vaughan. He actively contributes to the architectural discourse in Toronto as a guest speaker at professional forums and a guest critic at architectural schools.

Mansoor was also Program Co-chair and an Advisory Board Member of ULI Toronto. He has a diploma in Architecture from the Academy of Architecture in Mumbai, and a Masters degree In Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis.

Wendy de Silva is an award winning architect and accredited RIBA Client Advisor with over 30 years of industry experience. She has amassed a wealth of knowledge across a range of educational, commercial and residential projects, but her particular expertise is in healthcare design. She has extensive understanding of the mental health sector and has worked with clients who are at the forefront of best practices and she is passionate about service improvements. Her project work has been recognized with awards for innovation and for providing best in class mental health facilities. She has presented papers on mental health design at conferences in the UK and Scandinavia.

Wendy has also worked on a wide range of primary and community health facilities and is keenly interested in the integration of health and social care services. She has been involved in competition winning integrated health and housing developments in London regeneration areas and has worked as Technical Advisor to community based NHS Trusts.

Wendy’s involvement as a governor of UCLH FT from 2004-2011 also enabled her to gain excellent insight into the rapidly changing NHS environment and the pressures that Foundation Trusts currently face. She continues to serve on its Arts and Heritage Committee.
