John Knape is a qualified Architect with over 30 years of post-qualification experience and has been especially committed to the design of healthcare facilities and building types which fulfil social needs. His experience covers work in both the public and private sectors and he can draw upon a thorough knowledge of relevant design standards including Department of Health Building Notes and Technical Memoranda. John has experience of a wide range of procurement methods including traditional and two-stage tendering, design & build, partnering, management contracting and PFI and in his role as the practice’s Frameworks Director, has been instrumental in leading successful bid processes to secure IBI’s position as Primary Supply Chain Members on all three UK national healthcare Frameworks.

John has recently led teams on a number of projects in both the acute and primary care sectors, including the award winning development at Broadgreen Hospital, Liverpool. John Bayley provides over 30 years of qualified professional experience in the areas of environmental study, preliminary design, detailed design, and contract administration of municipal servicing, transportation, urban and rural infrastructure upgrading projects, and storm water management facilities. John has also managed both transportation and municipal engineering teams and divisions during his time.

John has managed and provided technical expertise on multiple Class Environmental Assessment studies and detailed design projects, including route alignment/location, transportation system expansion/upgrading and servicing projects, as well as site and subdivision land development and construction administration.

Anita Leonoff joined IBI Group shortly after graduating from UBC’s Architecture School and learned quickly. In the mid 1980s, Anita began the renovation work on the Hotel Vancouver, one of her longest running projects and one she continues to work on to this day. In the 1990s, Anita took on the local work for Holt Renfrew which at the time was renovation work. This later turned into a new store for Vancouver, followed by Calgary, and a number in Ontario and Quebec, which is a testament to her work. Anita’s areas of specialty include institutional and hospitality facilities design, retail and office tenant fit-ups, heritage renovations, and the management of the approvals and public consultation processes.
