Steve’s primary role has focused on front end project development, building analysis, test fits, programming, strategic real estate analysis, and workplace transformation programs.

Notable project work includes KPMG (Toronto, Calgary and Vaughan offices) as well as several significant law firm projects including Faskens, Osler and Stikeman Elliott. Steve has also worked with public agencies (Region of Peel, Infrastructure Ontario) to develop long term strategic occupancy studies involving a portfolio of buildings.

Bankim Kalra has over 15 years of consulting experience on IBI projects in Florida, South Carolina, and Edmonton prior to his relocation to lead IBI India’s urban planning and design practice. With a background in architecture, urban planning and a specialization in economic development, Bankim has developed a diverse portfolio integrated transit and land use planning, urban design, redevelopment planning, streetscape design and strategic TOD projects to his credit.

During his time with IBI Group, he has grown into being an effective Project Manager and a seasoned professional with global experience and a unique perspective in understanding the challenges of integrating diversity in community building. Bankim has been part of several award-winning IBI projects including the Bhubaneswar Smart City Plan in India and the Downtown Tavares Master Plan in Florida.
