David joined IBI Group in 2012 as a Transit Technology Analyst in the Transit Technology Practice, and is a graduate of the University of Waterloo Civil Engineering program. David has been an Associate – Manager, Transit Data and Technology since May 2019. David’s current/past roles/projects include: Project Manager for TTC Wheel-Trans to upgrade their scheduling, dispatching, and customer-facing (e.g. Website, Mobile App) systems to improve mobility for those with disabilities travelling on public transit; Project Manager for the PRESTO project, helping deploy Ticket Vending Machines (TVMs) and Add-Value Machines (AVMs) on the TTC network. He has experience in managing cross-office multi-disciplinary teams for all phases of a project, including: needs assessment, concept of operations, system specification development, procurement, and deployment. Bruce Retzsch established the firm of RLC Architects in Boca Raton, Florida, serving as its managing principal and principal urban designer for more than 30 years until being acquired by IBI Group in 2022. The firm is recognized for superior architectural design and planning services in the multi-family, mixed-use, retail, office and distribution/logistics markets in South Florida, and is the recipient of numerous AIA design awards. Mr. Retzsch is an active member of AIA, serving as the 2022 Palm Beach AIA president and recipient of the component’s 2018 Gold Medal. He is also involved in many industry organizations, including ULI, NAIOP and CIASF, and volunteer activities with the City of Boca Raton, Boca Raton Community Church, and the National MS Society. Mr. King is an architect, planner and parametric/computational designer with two decades of experience in designing cities. He draws from a background of architecture, spatial analysis, algorithmic design and optimization, active transportation and sustainable land use. The ability to use complex datasets to make informed decisions across IBI’s sectors is central to his work in designing cities and architecture. His parametric planning and design process allows increasingly complex large-scale projects to be done more efficiently while exploring exponentially more iterations of design solutions. He taught architectural studios at Woodbury University for a decade researching computational solutions to architectural and urban problems. Before joining IBI Group, King worked in the Shared Mobility Department for the Los Angeles Department of Transportation, primarily focused on the expansion of the City’s bikeshare program.

Joshua Ashish Dawson is an Indian-born, award-winning filmmaker & designer based in Los Angeles. He received a Master’s in Advanced Architectural Studies from the University of Southern California, where he was the recipient of the S. Kenneth Johnson Memorial Scholarship and a Gesundheit traveling fellow. He trained under Pritzker Prize-winning architect Balkrishna Doshi as well as Hollywood production designer Alex McDowell, founder of the World Building Institute at USC. This combination has led him to explore world-building and storytelling as a speculative fiction tool for architecture, re-imagining the built environment through interdisciplinary design thinking and cinema. Joshua has been featured in both mainstream and architectural media, including Vice Motherboard, Close-Up Culture, ArchDaily, Director’s Notes, and Domus Italy. His work has been screened at the Garden of Australian Dreams at the National Museum of Australia in Canberra, as well as renowned film festivals across the world. Joshua was the recipient of the 2019 Jury Prize at the Academy Award-qualifying Cinequest Film Festival in San Jose.

Neil has authored papers and given public lectures on ecological and environmental design issues. For his achievement in environmental design, he was also appointed a Fellow of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada.
