This project follows ODOT’s 14-step process for major projects. It includes the widening and reconstruction of seven miles of I-75 with interchange modifications.
Several interim reports and studies have been completed, including design alternatives for both the widening of the interstate and the modification of several complex interchanges. Having identified a preferred alternative, the project team prepared the environmental document and completed design plans for the proposed improvement.
M•E/IBI Group prepared structure studies and led public involvement activities. As well, using the proposed new OMUTCD sign design guidelines, we prepared the conceptual signing plan for the HAM-75-10.10 Interchange Modification Study for a 10-mile section of I-75 involving numerous service and system interchanges.
The project is now being designed and constructed in eight phases over a period of several years, with an estimated total construction cost of $500 million.
