Chinese Cultural Centre

The Cultural Centre fulfills a range of distinct Chinese community objectives including educational, recreational, social and commercial. During the program stage, a balanced strategy was developed which used existing facilities where appropriate in combination with new construction. In addition, the flexible use of space was reviewed in order to ensure the fullest utilization of the buildings. The facility includes a multi-use recreational complex, extensive classrooms and meeting rooms, A gallery/exhibition area, a library and multi-use cultural hall. The educational courses are directed at maintaining the Chinese language and culture in the community. The library has one of the largest collections of books related to the Chinese culture in western North America.
