His focus has been on designing facilities with complex functional and building system requirements; in particular, he specializes in healthcare master planning, programming, medical planning, and strategic planning. Paul is a RIBA Registered Client Advisor and supports local authorities and the DfE as a technical advisor to major education developments. Matt Colwill, BA.Sc, P.Eng, has 15 years of experience in the fields of road user safety and traffic operations. Matt has conducted operational and safety reviews for a range of public sector clients, at all levels of government, including the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario, the City of Toronto, the City of Ottawa, York Region, the City of Waterloo, Transport Canada, and a number of private sector clients. These projects have involved safety and operational assessments of freeways, rural highways, urban and suburban arterials, and local roadways, and they have addressed the needs of vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists, and specialty road users. Matt is a member of the Institute of Transportation Engineers, and serves as the Transportation Safety Committee representative to the Sustainability Standing Committee. Amer has over 20 years of experience in architectural design and construction for various building typologies. He has a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and Engineering from the Technical University of Budapest, Hungary. Following graduation, Amer worked in the United Arab Emirates as a member of the government architectural and engineering staff with responsibilities that developed from design review and detailing to complete design and construction supervision for numerous projects, including major public, residential and industrial developments. He joined IBI’s transit architecture group in early 2001 to 2005 and continued his architectural career in Verona Italy for several years prior to rejoining IBI Group in 2009. He has worked with a wide range of public- and private-sector clients throughout North America and overseas. He has undertaken key roles  in advancing  the Intelligent Transportation Systems industry in Canada, and has been instrumental in the development of IBI’s industry-leading transit systems technology practice. Kevin has led notable projects including the development of the inaugural Intelligent Transportation Systems Architecture for Canada, and the systems management for the new Metrolinx Network Operations Centre. As Project Manager, and a Registered Architect, Steve has brought a wide range of experience over his 35 year career to IBI. Since joining IBI almost 4 years ago, he has specialized in industrial and automotive work. Originally hired in the Southfield, MI office, Steve has since transferred to the Raleigh, NC office where he has been for the past 3 years. His automotive/industrial experience has given him the opportunity to work for all the major automotive manufacturers while completing large or complicated projects of note for Toyota and Tesla. Since joining the Raleigh office, he has begun to diversify his experience, by working on a myriad of projects ranging from Maintenance & Operations (M&O) facilities for local and out of state municipalities, to working with the NC Wildlife Resource Commission, NCWRC, on the re-design of a shooting range. In May of 2019, he was promoted to an L1, Associate Principal, level within the IBI Global Leadership and more recently became the Operations Manager for the Raleigh office helping with the day to day operations of the office.
