An iconic waterfront community fit for opulent living
A natural oasis located in Richmond, British Columbia, River Green Village is an iconic waterfront residential development within the city’s Oval Village. IBI Group led the master planning, architecture and interior design for the new urban riverfront community, seamlessly integrating built form and natural landscape to create a tranquil living environment where nature and man-made beauty fit together perfectly.
Adjacent to Richmond’s new Middle Arm Park, 2 River Green contains a total of 171 residential units, including a number of large penthouse-style suites with substantial outdoor terraces, essentially “chalets in the sky.” This site is particularly significant to the city as it is the focal point between the Dinsmore Bridge and the No. 2 Road Bridge – the connections from Sea Island and Vancouver International Airport to Richmond’s city centre – essentially establishing visitors’ first impressions of the city.
The feel of the space reflects that of outdoor living in Richmond. Amenity offerings begin with a grand, hotel-inspired lobby where marble features are applied throughout. The onyx stone feature wall captures the earthy tones of a horizon, and the 18’-tall, walnut-wrapped geometric pillars resemble trees, creating an element of surprise as you peer through them. The combination of earth tones and contrast in material adds a warm and inviting level of luxury.
The luxury continues throughout the interior amenities, which include an infinity pool, whirlpool, steam room and sauna, fitness facility with state-of-the-art equipment, and a tranquil yoga area. The musically inclined will also be able to practice on the piano or bring an instrument of their choice to River Green’s acoustically-insulated music room. For entertainment purposes, there will also be a private theatre room, clubroom with a large-screen TV, and an open concept entertainment kitchen.
