David is responsible for all transportation projects carried out by IBI Group’s Ottawa office, and is currently project director for a number of transportation engineering studies, road environmental assessments, and preliminary design and detail design projects. His 43 years of transportation experience include work in the UK, management of major projects and studies in the Caribbean, and construction and transportation project management in Western Canada.

Don Verbanac is an interdisciplinary Project Manager specializing in transit facilities. Don has 20 years of combined experience in architecture, urban planning, transportation, retail and industrial design from Canada, the USA, Mexico and the Netherlands. Jannis Nassoulis has more then 18 years of experience in the infrastructure construction and transportation industry. After he successfully managed the design, installation, testing and commissioning of the first large scale ITS project in Greece, he was involved in motorway operations undertaking the role of the Tunnel Safety Officer of the Athens ring road. He coordinated large scale exercises and fire tests in tunnels.

In 2007, Jannis organized the operation and maintenance of the 230km long motorway concession project, Aegean Motorway, as Chief Operations Officer. Holding the position of the COO for nine years, he managed a major operational crisis involving a dramatic rockfall incident, resulting to longlasting international arbitration procedures, legal disputes and claims. He also actively participated in a successful project restructuring process, necessary to mitigate severe problems resulting from the Greek financial crisis, earning serious experience in PPP project financing, contractual arrangements and negotiation practices.

Ryan is the Manager for Transportation Engineering in Ohio. With nearly 15 years of experience, he is known for leading our general engineering contracts with the Ohio Department of Transportation. These contracts include all aspects of transportation engineering. Our most recent contract includes ODOT’s first on-call contract for intelligent transportation systems (ITS) services, which will be provided by our intelligence group. An unusual project that Ryan worked on was 24 miles of new border fence in Yuma, Arizona. A graduate of the Ohio State University, Ryan is a licensed professional engineer in nine states and is also a licensed professional surveyor in three states. He also served as the President of the Engineer’s Club of Columbus, Ohio (from 2017-18), which is the one of the oldest clubs of its kind, founded in 1888.
