Jannis Nasoulis has more then 18 years of experience in the infrastructure construction and transportation industry. After he successfully managed the design, installation, testing and commissioning of the first large scale ITS project in Greece, he was involved in motorway operations undertaking the role of the Tunnel Safety Officer of the Athens ring road. He coordinated large scale exercises and fire tests in tunnels. In 2007, Jannis organized the operation and maintenance of the 230km long motorway concession project, Aegean Motorway, as Chief Operations Officer. Evangelos Pantazis is an architectural engineer, building scientist, computational designer and educator. His research expertise is in complex geometric modelling and generative design strategies in conjunction with daylighting, energy modelling and performance driven design workflows across scales. His work empowers non-specialized architects and designers to develop design alternatives which couple critical design parameters with energy demand and supply, comfort, and livability. To date, he has authored and co-authored journal papers, peer reviewed scientific articles and book chapters. Prior to joining IBI in 2019, Evan was a member of i-lab and Schema Lab at the Viterbi School of Engineering, where his research was supported by a fellowship from the National Science Foundation (NSF), the Department of Energy (DOE) and Autodesk Inc. In practice Evangelos has worked for Graft Architects in Berlin, Studio Pei-Zhu in Beijing, Buro Happold Engineering in Los Angeles, has co-founded Topotheque design research studio and he is the CTO of Fablab Ioannina.Evan holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the Viterbi School of Engineering at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, where he was a fellow of both Onassis and Myronis Foundation. These include high density high-rise residential buildings, hotels, office, retail, institutional, and complex urban mixed-use developments. A number of these projects have been nominated for and received Urban Design and Architectural Design awards. Mr. Kazerouni has been a guest lecturer on the subject of architecture and mixed-use design at universities, conferences and various panels. He has also been interviewed on the subject by architectural publications, newspapers, television and other media. Mr. Kazerouni’s abilities and expertise in his field have been recognized by his appointment to the City of Mississauga’s Urban Design Advisory Panel, the City of Markham’s Urban Design Advisory Panel and the City of Vaughan’s Urban Design Advisory Panel. He is also a past Advisory Board Member of the Urban Land Institute, and a member of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada.
