There is nothing more rewarding than knowing that your designs have made a difference - however small. Having been lucky enough to work on significant projects designed specifically for children (from birth to adulthood) improving those patient’s journeys has been an amazing experience.
Charles first joined IBI in 1997 working in the London office. Moving to Belfast in 2011, he re-joined the company in 2022 with a desire to broaden his experience of quality design projects outside of Northern Ireland in the context of a changing climate. Healthcare is his focus, where having been involved in new build projects at Great Ormond Street, he then led the design and delivery of the Ulster Maternity Hospital and Women & Children’s Projects in Belfast. He is a proactive and highly motivated architect with a wide range of experience in design and construction. Charles has specialised in the management, design and co-ordination of complex projects at various stages within the design process.
