Peter Pillman holds degrees in both Environmental Studies and Architecture, which is the foundation to his more than 20 years of widespread experience in master planning and urban design projects. Tony Burley is the US Healthcare+ Lead and has managed multiple design and project teams for all scales of healthcare and science projects. His experience spans new build, refurbishment and strategic planning of facilities, in roles as both designer and client representative and covers Traditional, Design and Build, Framework and AFP/P3 procurement. The multiple perspectives from this rounded experience provides Tony with a real understanding of the opportunities and challenges that face healthcare facilities, and fuels a passion for ongoing innovation to provide a safer, more efficient and pleasant patient experience. Tony is an excellent communicator and regular conference speaker, who enjoys building strong relationships with clients, users and wider stakeholder groups.

Tony supports IBI THiNK and an evidence-based approach to design, which has included working on joint projects with EDB guru Professor Roger S Ulrich, formerly of Texas A&M University.

Wendy de Silva is an award winning architect and accredited RIBA Client Advisor with over 30 years of industry experience. She has amassed a wealth of knowledge across a range of educational, commercial and residential projects, but her particular expertise is in healthcare design. She has extensive understanding of the mental health sector and has worked with clients who are at the forefront of best practices and she is passionate about service improvements. Her project work has been recognized with awards for innovation and for providing best in class mental health facilities. She has presented papers on mental health design at conferences in the UK and Scandinavia.

Wendy has also worked on a wide range of primary and community health facilities and is keenly interested in the integration of health and social care services. She has been involved in competition winning integrated health and housing developments in London regeneration areas and has worked as Technical Advisor to community based NHS Trusts.

Wendy’s involvement as a governor of UCLH FT from 2004-2011 also enabled her to gain excellent insight into the rapidly changing NHS environment and the pressures that Foundation Trusts currently face. She continues to serve on its Arts and Heritage Committee.

Dale Richmond

As an Independent Director and Chair of the Board of Directors for IBI Group, Dale Richmond is a member of the Audit Committee and Chair of the Governance, and Compensation Committee.Mr. Richmond is currently the Chair of The Canadian Council for Public-Private Partnerships. He has participated on a number of corporate boards and has served the community as past Chair of The Toronto Board of Trade, The Canadian Urban Institute and Humber College.

From 1993 to 2003, he was the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System. Prior to 1993, Mr. Richmond served with the Municipality of Metropolitan Toronto for 17 years, where he held various positions including Chief Administrative Officer (for a period of eight years), Deputy Commissioner of Transportation, and Commissioner of Management and Computer Services. He also held various public sector positions in Halifax, Calgary and Sudbury.

Mr. Richmond received a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Mount Allison University, a Master of Arts (Economics) degree from Dalhousie University and is a Fellow of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario and a Fellow of the Certified Management Accountants of Ontario.

Ms. Unholz has extensive experience with 511 traveler information systems and has been involved in several 511 projects at all levels, from definition of functional requirements to implementation, operation, and successful upgrade and enhancements of services.  Ms. Unholz works with IBI’s Solutions group to support national deployment of an integrated suite of services that includes integration of third party data feeds, and the distribution of traveler information via website, mobile application, IVR systems and social media platforms.
