Claudio Venier is a graduate of McGill University’s School of Architecture, where he earned both a Bachelor of Architecture and a Master of Architecture. Claudio has over 25 years of experience working in private practice and in architecture offices, including ARCOP, Dan Hanganu, and Saia Barbese in Montreal, Wilkson Eyre in London, England, and in Toronto with Montgomery and Sisam, HOK Canada, architects Alliance and KPMB. Since May 2016, he has worked as a project architect for IBI Group in Toronto. Claudio’s projects include the Condominiums at One Bedford, the award-winning Maple Leaf Square mixed-use project, Library District Condominiums and Axis Condominiums.

Claudio’s professional work is characterized by the ability to develop and realize high levels of design through his involvement in both the design and construction phases of a project. Claudio also has an interest in architectural education and sustainable design. He has participated in architecture studios at the University of Toronto and Ryerson University, and has entered sustainable design competitions, including CMHC’s Equilibrium Sustainable Housing Demonstration Initiative.

Matt Colwill, BA.Sc, P.Eng, has 15 years of experience in the fields of road user safety and traffic operations. Matt has conducted operational and safety reviews for a range of public sector clients, at all levels of government, including the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario, the City of Toronto, the City of Ottawa, York Region, the City of Waterloo, Transport Canada, and a number of private sector clients. These projects have involved safety and operational assessments of freeways, rural highways, urban and suburban arterials, and local roadways, and they have addressed the needs of vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists, and specialty road users.

Matt is a member of the Institute of Transportation Engineers, and serves as the Transportation Safety Committee representative to the Sustainability Standing Committee. He is also an active participant in the Road Safety Committee of Ontario.

Matt has also published papers and presented at the Transportation Association of Canada annual meeting, addressing topics that include the safety impacts of freeway HOV lanes, the effectiveness of winter weather collision countermeasures, and designing streets to protect vulnerable road users.

Caz has excellent technical expertise in a number of development platforms and significant experience in requirements analysis, system design and architecture, the management of large development teams and the delivery of mobile, web and system development projects. Caz also architected IBI Group’s Software and System Development processes and procedures in the UK, using the Structured Systems Analysis and Design Methodology. Wendy de Silva is an award winning architect and accredited RIBA Client Advisor with over 30 years of industry experience. She has amassed a wealth of knowledge across a range of educational, commercial and residential projects, but her particular expertise is in healthcare design. She has extensive understanding of the mental health sector and has worked with clients who are at the forefront of best practices and she is passionate about service improvements. Her project work has been recognized with awards for innovation and for providing best in class mental health facilities. She has presented papers on mental health design at conferences in the UK and Scandinavia.

Wendy has also worked on a wide range of primary and community health facilities and is keenly interested in the integration of health and social care services. She has been involved in competition winning integrated health and housing developments in London regeneration areas and has worked as Technical Advisor to community based NHS Trusts.

Wendy’s involvement as a governor of UCLH FT from 2004-2011 also enabled her to gain excellent insight into the rapidly changing NHS environment and the pressures that Foundation Trusts currently face. She continues to serve on its Arts and Heritage Committee.
