As Chief Operations Director, Audrey Jacob is responsible for the firm’s global Marketing & Communications, Human Resources and the office leases for IBI’s 60+ offices. She works alongside the other members of the Executive Team and senior leadership on the operational aspects of the firm. Having joined IBI Group in 1986, she is very familiar with the firm’s history, its work and its people. An important area of focus for Audrey relates to guiding and developing a work environment and policies that embrace Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging Audrey is a Registered Professional Planner (RPP) and a Professional Land Economist (PLE) with more than 25 years of experience. Previously, she led the firm’s Real Estate Economic & Planning practice, specializing in growth management/land needs, market analysis, development/financial feasibility/strategy, economic impact, development charges, and municipal financial impact analysis. Audrey has a BA in Geography from the University of Toronto and a Masters of Urban Planning from McGill University. She is the Chair of the Executive Committee of Pragma Council at the University of Waterloo, a forum of business, education and government leaders; a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI); and a Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI) Champion.

Matt is an Architect Project Manager at the 55 St. Clair W office and has been with IBI for four years. He has experience leading large complex projects with fully integrated multi-discipline project teams, working closely with the Toronto West and Richmond Hill offices. Matt works directly with clients from the initial project vision and programming stage through to construction. Recent projects that he has been a team leader on include the Magna International Head Office and multiple Metrolinx Transportation Pursuits. Prior to joining IBI, Matt was a manager and a design team member for the concept and approvals phase of the Parq Vancouver project, an 800,000 sq. ft. multi-hotel, conference centre, and casino complex. He has been a design team member for various architecture design competitions for cultural buildings and libraries in Quebec, several of which have been recognized internationally for design merit. Matt has also worked on, and lead, various cultural and community architecture projects in Asia, with a focus on Indonesia and Taiwan. Matt is a member of the OAA and RAIC.

Sam has over eight years of experience working with transit real-time passenger information systems and CAD/AVL systems. Sam leads the implementation and operations and maintenance of IBI Group’s transit data suite of software for clients including TransLink (Vancouver), Los Angeles Metro, and RTD (Denver). This suite of software includes TRANSIT-alerts, which is used to enter, manage, and disseminate service alerts, and TRANSIT-realtime, which aggregates, manages, and disseminates real-time locations and predictions. Sam also has a focus on real-time passenger information systems for rail and has designed and developed light rail and commuter rail real-time passenger information systems for RTD (Denver), SunRail (Orlando), and NFTA (Buffalo). Prior to joining IBI Group in 2015, Sam worked for the MBTA (Boston) for over four years. At the MBTA he designed and developed software that generated real-time arrival predictions for the subway lines and published the predictions on countdown signs and for app developers, served as system administrator for the bus CAD/AVL system, and managed the MBTA’s GTFS data. Sam has a Master’s degree in Transportation and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics.
