Sam has over eight years of experience working with transit real-time passenger information systems and CAD/AVL systems. Sam leads the implementation and operations and maintenance of IBI Group’s transit data suite of software for clients including TransLink (Vancouver), Los Angeles Metro, and RTD (Denver). This suite of software includes TRANSIT-alerts, which is used to enter, manage, and disseminate service alerts, and TRANSIT-realtime, which aggregates, manages, and disseminates real-time locations and predictions. Sam also has a focus on real-time passenger information systems for rail and has designed and developed light rail and commuter rail real-time passenger information systems for RTD (Denver), SunRail (Orlando), and NFTA (Buffalo). Prior to joining IBI Group in 2015, Sam worked for the MBTA (Boston) for over four years. At the MBTA he designed and developed software that generated real-time arrival predictions for the subway lines and published the predictions on countdown signs and for app developers, served as system administrator for the bus CAD/AVL system, and managed the MBTA’s GTFS data. Visweswara (Vissu) joined IBI Group as a Transportation Systems Engineer in 2007, fresh out of the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. As one of IBI India’s first hires, he began his career working on tolling and highway Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) implementation projects. Over the last 15 years, he has completed numerous complicated projects in both the consulting and systems implementation domains. With his zest for innovation motivated by actual field application, he played a crucial role in establishing IBI Group as a Systems Technology Leader in the region by completing multiple large projects. The Indore BRT Project—the firm’s first World Bank-funded project in India, which helped the firm secure a stream of World Bank contracts in the years that followed; and the Hyderabad ITMS Project—which aided IBI in building the Software Development practice in Hyderabad, allowing him to contribute to the firm’s new direction. As Project Manager, and a Registered Architect, Steve has brought a wide range of experience over his 35 year career to IBI. Since joining IBI almost 4 years ago, he has specialized in industrial and automotive work. Originally hired in the Southfield, MI office, Steve has since transferred to the Raleigh, NC office where he has been for the past 3 years. His automotive/industrial experience has given him the opportunity to work for all the major automotive manufacturers while completing large or complicated projects of note for Toyota and Tesla. Since joining the Raleigh office, he has begun to diversify his experience, by working on a myriad of projects ranging from Maintenance & Operations (M&O) facilities for local and out of state municipalities, to working with the NC Wildlife Resource Commission, NCWRC, on the re-design of a shooting range. In May of 2019, he was promoted to an L1, Associate Principal, level within the IBI Global Leadership and more recently became the Operations Manager for the Raleigh office helping with the day to day operations of the office.

Anita Leonoff joined IBI Group shortly after graduating from UBC’s Architecture School and learned quickly. In the mid 1980s, Anita began the renovation work on the Hotel Vancouver, one of her longest running projects and one she continues to work on to this day. In the 1990s, Anita took on the local work for Holt Renfrew which at the time was renovation work. This later turned into a new store for Vancouver, followed by Calgary, and a number in Ontario and Quebec, which is a testament to her work. Anita’s areas of specialty include institutional and hospitality facilities design, retail and office tenant fit-ups, heritage renovations, and the management of the approvals and public consultation processes.

Charles first joined IBI in 1997 working in the London office. Moving to Belfast in 2011, he re-joined the company in 2022 with a desire to broaden his experience of quality design projects outside of Northern Ireland in the context of a changing climate. Healthcare is his focus, where having been involved in new build projects at Great Ormond Street, he then led the design and delivery of the Ulster Maternity Hospital and Women & Children’s Projects in Belfast. He is a proactive and highly motivated architect with a wide range of experience in design and construction. Charles has specialised in the management, design and co-ordination of complex projects at various stages within the design process. Charles is a talented designer, who has worked in partnership with several universities and is acutely aware of the benefits good design can bring to our clients.

Matt is an Architect Project Manager at the 55 St. Clair W office and has been with IBI for four years. He has experience leading large complex projects with fully integrated multi-discipline project teams, working closely with the Toronto West and Richmond Hill offices. Matt works directly with clients from the initial project vision and programming stage through to construction. Recent projects that he has been a team leader on include the Magna International Head Office and multiple Metrolinx Transportation Pursuits. Prior to joining IBI, Matt was a manager and a design team member for the concept and approvals phase of the Parq Vancouver project, an 800,000 sq. ft. multi-hotel, conference centre, and casino complex. He has been a design team member for various architecture design competitions for cultural buildings and libraries in Quebec, several of which have been recognized internationally for design merit.
