David is a Senior Consultant based in IBI’s Glasgow office with considerable project management and consultancy experience. In a career spanning over 20 years, David has worked in both technology and transport planning fields. Since joining IBI he has played a lead role on our work with Transport Scotland, where he is now the project manager for the major Traffic Scotland Systems Contract Framework, one of IBI’s largest projects in the UK. This contract covers the development and operation of a number of systems critical to the management of the strategic road network and related functions, as well as other consulting services. In addition to the project manager role, David continues to lead on specific projects delivered under the Framework, including Scotland’s new National Traffic Data System. This is a significant development for Transport Scotland and has been a complex project which has required a range of skills: engagement and coordination with a wide range of stakeholders; technical ability in respect to system requirements and design; management of the client with the introduction of new processes and procedures; and overseeing the implementation and launch. Jannis Nasoulis has more then 18 years of experience in the infrastructure construction and transportation industry. After he successfully managed the design, installation, testing and commissioning of the first large scale ITS project in Greece, he was involved in motorway operations undertaking the role of the Tunnel Safety Officer of the Athens ring road. He coordinated large scale exercises and fire tests in tunnels. In 2007, Jannis organized the operation and maintenance of the 230km long motorway concession project, Aegean Motorway, as Chief Operations Officer. Holding the position of the COO for nine years, he managed a major operational crisis involving a dramatic rockfall incident, resulting to longlasting international arbitration procedures, legal disputes and claims. These include high density high-rise residential buildings, hotels, office, retail, institutional, and complex urban mixed-use developments. A number of these projects have been nominated for and received Urban Design and Architectural Design awards. Mr. Kazerouni has been a guest lecturer on the subject of architecture and mixed-use design at universities, conferences and various panels. He has also been interviewed on the subject by architectural publications, newspapers, television and other media. Mr. Kazerouni’s abilities and expertise in his field have been recognized by his appointment to the City of Mississauga’s Urban Design Advisory Panel, the City of Markham’s Urban Design Advisory Panel and the City of Vaughan’s Urban Design Advisory Panel.
