David Buchanan

Mr. Buchanan has 14 years of experience in complex bridge and retaining wall inspection and design. He has project and inspection program management experience as well as bridge design lead experience on many complex local and interstate bridge projects throughout the Midwest focused mostly in Ohio and Indiana. This experience is both in the traditional design bid build project delivery model as well as extensive design build project deliveries. Mr. Buchanan has designed many types of bridge superstructures and substructures, and he has experience with bridge foundation design, bridge hydraulic design, and roadway design. He has applied his experience to both new designs and rehabilitation designs of existing structures as well as load ratings of existing structures. Mr. Buchanan has expertise in finite element modeling of structures, which has been vital in the evaluation of unique structures that are not easily analyzed by traditional bridge software. He also has significant experience with curved girder design and tall pier design. David prides himself on his personal focus on projects he is involved in to provide the best products for his clients. He has significant experience working for ODOT, The Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission, INDOT, MDOT and various cities and municipalities throughout Ohio.
