A designer's responsibility is to firstly ask the right questions, and then to provide potential solutions. The most successful answers for a project come from effective collaboration across both the design team and stakeholders, and the designer has to set the scene for this collaboration to take place in a meaningful and efficient manner.
Peter has over 25 years of experience as an architect, much of that time spent collaborating with globally recognised design leaders. Originally from the north-west of England, Peter’s career has seen him living and working in Europe, the Middle East, the Far East and North America, leading major projects from inception to delivery, whilst also establishing and managing all aspects of design studios. Peter has led teams designing a variety of projects spanning sectors including residential, retail, hospitality, office, education, mixed-use and cultural, and at scales ranging from individual homes to high-rise and from urban quarters to resorts. As a designer Peter deploys the full range of design tools from drawing and sketch modelling to computer models and 3D printing. Peter believes that the Culture of a design studio is fundamental to its success and encourages open dialogue in order to seek innovative and novel answers to design challenges, whilst remaining conscious of a designer’s responsibility to find best-value solutions that conserve our resources and enhance our environment.
