She is a results-driven leader with over 6 years of experience in consulting supporting transit agencies, municipalities, cities and private sector partners across North America in energy transition to clean transportation solutions. She has over 12 years of industry experience in program and project management, planning, and successful execution. She has successfully led more than 50 transit electrification and decarbonization projects in North America.

Geoff Knapp is a practicing Professional Engineer with over 20 years of international experience specializing in Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), connected and automated vehicles, and the innovative application of emerging technologies.

Geoff is a recognized ITS Architecture expert in Canada and excels at providing valuable insight and best practices into ITS operations, technology evaluations, and defining and developing needs-based solutions for clients. A strong advocate of the Systems Engineering process, Geoff has been involved in all phases of ITS projects, including strategic planning, feasibility analysis, specification, design and deployment, testing, and operations.

As a Product Manager for the Arcadis | IBI Group Travel-IQ™ product, Geoff provides support and guidance for advanced traveler information and traffic management programs and solutions for local, national and international clients.

Bruce Retzsch established the firm of RLC Architects in Boca Raton, Florida, serving as its managing principal and principal urban designer for more than 30 years until being acquired by IBI Group in 2022. The firm is recognized for superior architectural design and planning services in the multi-family, mixed-use, retail, office and distribution/logistics markets in South Florida, and is the recipient of numerous AIA design awards.

Mr. Retzsch is an active member of AIA, serving as the 2022 Palm Beach AIA president and recipient of the component’s 2018 Gold Medal. He is also involved in many industry organizations, including ULI, NAIOP and CIASF, and volunteer activities with the City of Boca Raton, Boca Raton Community Church, and the National MS Society.

A graduate of the University of Illinois, Bruce holds a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies and a Master of Architecture in Urban Design.

Cody Pendleton has been instrumental in the growth and success of HotSpot Parking, building the secure software infrastructure as it’s known today. In addition to his IT Program Analysis Degree, his previous experience owning and operating various companies has further enhanced HotSpot’s capability in technology and programming. His understanding of business complexity, logical thought process and managerial practices has been a valuable asset in expanding HotSpot’s in-house IT team. Cody leads the technical team in full-stack development, managing & planning, product development, and is skilled in speaking with customers at the Executive level. Notably, Cody is the principal contact leading the process of obtaining HotSpot’s ISO 27000 & 27001 certifications, and effectively maintains the high-level security and privacy compliance that HotSpot holds as standard.

Yan worked as an architect in China for over 10 years before moving to Canada. His design portfolio features a range of projects including large scale, mix-used developments, institutional, commercial, hospitality and residential developments. He had 9 years of professional architectural experience particularly in high-rise residential projects in Toronto from schematic design to the construction documents stage before he joined Arcadis IBI group in 2022. Yan holds a Master of Architecture degree and is a member of the Ontario Association of Architects.

I am a transportation engineer with fantastic people skills who sees the world through the lens of technology, sustainability and innovation. Focus areas include connected automated vehicles, mass transit and multi modal transportation. My career has spanned all roles in transportation from being an Owner to a Consultant, from working on small projects to billion-dollar P3s and from being a Project Manager to a Senior Vice President responsible for 2,500 employees.

I see huge opportunities in fully leveraging digital tools to create better infrastructure projects through data analytics, user friendly app-based interfaces and new revenue streams.

David is a resilience planner specializing in the integration of risk and mitigation assessments for sustainable, evidence-based planning decisions. He has graduate degrees in Urban Planning and Communication for Development with focuses on multicultural stakeholder engagement, planning for climate change, and information technologies in regional planning. David has a wide range of experience in land use planning, market research, and public participation. He has completed the International Association for Public Participation (IAP2) certificate program.

David leads a multidisciplinary team to complete flood risk assessments and mitigation planning, working with all levels of government to increase community resilience. He also leads the development of methods and tools for risk assessment practice, including national guidelines and software applications.

Nic Kressmann has over 15 years experience as a project manager on a wide range of project types. He is adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining strong relationships with project team members and clients alike. Nic specializes in the project management, design and construction administration of skilled nursing facilities, self storage facilities, restaurants and mixed use residential developments.

Melinda Tracey is an experienced Project Manager and leader with IBI Group’s Intelligence team and has provided support and guidance in the development of emerging and trans-formative technologies focused on Telecommunications and Intelligent Transportation programs for local, national and international clients.

Melinda has been engaged over the past 12 years in the business of telecommunication strategies, network deployments and the development and expansion of internet services to rural, remote and indigenous communities.

Matthias Olt works as a talented design leader and architect. His distinct use of softly swooping waves or crisp, clean lines can be found on culturally significant and sustainably designed buildings across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and North America. Notable examples of his work include Lotte Center Hanoi, Huarun Tower, Chengdu, China, and The Net, Seattle, USA.
Matthias, originally from Frankfurt, Germany, has worked in the industry for 30 years. It’s in sustainability where Matthias truly shines. Most recently, he has pitched bringing wood back into architecture in a big way. His vibrant, climate-aware designs for hybrid builds that include steel or carbon fiber wrapped with wood and cased in cement are a nod to minimalistic and forward-thinking design. In 2022, Matthias received a Fast Company Innovation by Design Award for his design of the unTower, aka Use-Neutral Tower. In 2017, Matthias received an AIA Seattle Honors Award for his innovative design of a 39-story Conceptual Mass Timber Tower in Seattle. Matthias is a registered architect and received the German architecture diploma from the University of Applied Sciences, Frankfurt, Germany, and he also holds an undergraduate degree in chemical science.
