Rebecca Grant

Based in the Portland office, Rebecca is part of the Learning+ team and has specialized in educational architecture and sustainable design during her 17 years of professional practice. A leader at IBI Group for nearly a decade, she is an astute project manager and effective communicator who ensures that design intent is carried through a project from concept to construction. She deftly balances sustainability, budget, timeline, stakeholder engagement, and innovative, results-oriented design in her service to clients and community.

Rebecca is a LEED Accredited Professional with the U.S. Green Building Council and an Architects-in-School Program Member with the Architectural Foundation of Oregon.  She played an integral role in the successful completion of award-winning LEED Gold projects including Parkrose Middle School Replacement, Sandy High School, and Trillium Creek Primary School. Rebecca was also involved in the design of the Snohomish Aquatic Center, a truly unique facility north of Seattle.

Cristina Martinez

Cristina Martinez is a Transportation Planner with experience ranging from large-scale freeway and transit impact projects to local active transportation projects, transit-oriented development, master and specific plans, and parking/traffic management studies. Her work in public, private, and non-profit sector planning has shaped her passion for creating community-inclusive solutions to issues that affect our urban and social environments.

As Regional GIS Lead for the United States, Cristina helps coordinate IBI’s global network of GIS professionals and is involved with internal initiatives to further integrate geospatial technology into IBI’s project work. Her expertise in GIS includes data management and analysis, data visualization, geospatial analysis, and interactive map development.

Steve Schibuola

Steve Schibuola is the US Transportation Planning Lead with 25 years of experience in a variety of urban transportation disciplines. He provides strategic and service planning for public transportation, including major investment studies, feasibility studies, and environmental assessments of transportation improvements; policy and research studies in the field of sustainable transportation; and user needs assessments, software design, and operations planning for intelligent transportation systems.

Santosh Mishra

Santosh Mishra has over 15 years of experience with a specialization in transit technology, consulting for all transit modes. Santosh’s work encompasses planning, procurement and implementation of a full range of transit technologies that address the full spectrum needs of a transit agency and to date, he has assisted more than 50 agencies nationwide.

Apart from transit technology deployments, Santosh has significant expertise in large transportation data (transit and non-transit) acquisition, management and utilization and was invited to write a guest article in the Mass Transit Magazine under Best Practices column. Santosh also has significant experience in transportation technology research and evaluation and co-authored TCRP Project A-31 Transit, Call Centers and 511: A Guide for Decision Makers, and TCRP Project J-09, Task 12: ‘New and Emerging Technologies’. Further, he has led several tasks related to recent USDOT research and demonstration projects, including United We Ride/Mobility Service for All Americans and Connected Vehicle/Dynamic Mobility programs.

Ray Whitchurch

Paul Lavallee

As the US Sector Lead, Intelligence, Paul Lavallee is responsible for overseeing the strategy, growth and development of the company’s new and existing business for IBI Group’s intelligence practice across the US, working closely with Carl-Henry Piel, James Barbosa, and Ritesh Warade who lead the services, solutions and operations subsectors respectively. Bringing over 30 years of experience as part of IBI Group’s intelligence practice, he has helped organizations at all levels effectively integrate technology into city planning, design and operation, and transform how business is conducted today. He is internationally recognized as a transit technology and revenue collection system specialist with specific expertise in bringing together multi-stakeholder teams and delivering high-profile projects.

Paul is a licensed Professional Engineer currently working with thought leaders to help integrate technology into the daily fabric of people’s lives. He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science from the University of Toronto, and a Masters of Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.

Nathalie Waelbroeck

Nathalie Waelbroeck is an up and coming designer in the field of architecture, building experience in a wide array of projects including light rail station, residential, spa, medicine, hospitality, and office design. She has proven her flexibility to function as a team member in the collaborative environment, most evident in her light rail and medical projects. She is familiar working with complicated and technical project requirements and relies on her strong BIM/3D Visualization software stills to best communicate with different disciplines.

Nathalie’s work has taken her far afield with projects in New York, Missouri, Toronto and Amsterdam. This experience has given her an appreciation of the architectural process in different regions. Nathalie is passionate about sustainable design as it impacts the triple bottom line; as a result she has deeply studied the subject matter and holds credentials with both LEED and WELL.
