We know how to maximize community buy-in through early engagement and powerful visual storytelling.
Listening to every voice
Without the support of a community, a project will never reach its full potential. Our outreach programs ensure that public opinion is heard loud and clear, while giving them a chance to become more informed and participate in meaningful decisions. We have wideranging experience designing outreach programs in both public, private and P3 developments in architecture, land use, and transportation. We’re also taking advantage of new online-based outreach tools to digitally engage broader communities and promote more inclusive conversations.

Presenting your vision
Creating a powerful visual narrative is key to success. Our experienced team of graphic designers and writers can help craft your project’s story and ensure that complex technical information is translated into clearly understood concepts. We bring plans to life through advanced 3D renderings, virtual reality walkthroughs, and compelling visual aids that convincingly convey the project’s full potential.
Green Line Southeast Transitway BRT and TOD Planning
IBI Group has been part of the Hatch Engineering team for the design and delivery of the Calgary Green Line Corridor. Upon completion, the Green Line will introduce 42 km’s of transit service, 28 transit stations and six TOD transit villages, significantly altering the way Calgarians live, work and play.
Calgary Fire Station 16 and Calgary Fire Department Headquarters
The Calgary Fire Department (CFD) engaged IBI Group to prepare a master plan for the existing department headquarters site, and provide a functional program study that addressed the department’s expansion needs. The outcome determined that construction of new facilities in addition to renovating existing structures would provide the best value and fit to accommodate the CFD’s current and future needs. IBI was subsequently engaged as civil engineer and architect.
Working with developers Can Alfa and the City of Toronto, IBI Group have transformed this 45-acre, vacant industrial brownfield site and home of a former prison, to one of the densest and most desirable neighbourhoods in Toronto within the span of a few decades. With access to several major transportation arteries, residents in Liberty Village enjoy a uniquely walkable, mixed-use community complete with parks, plazas and a plethora of amenities.
