TRANSIT-realtime
Our system serves as the centralized hub to aggregate, manage, control, and disseminate transit real-time data including service alerts, vehicle locations, and arrival predictions for all transit modes for an agency or multiple agencies in a region.
Smartly manage real-time transit data
The system allows an agency to produce a comprehensive set of General Transit Feed Specification (GTFS)-realtime feeds that is consistent and up to date, even during service disruptions.
Key features
Generate consolidated feeds
The system takes in one or more GTFS-realtime feeds from agency systems, such as a CAD/AVL or train tracking system. Feeds are combined together into a consolidated feed for vehicle positions and trip updates. The system can be used by an agency that runs a multimodal network, or multiple agencies in a region.
Reach more customers
TRANSIT-realtime is fully integrated with GTFS-formatted schedule information, automatically tagging all real-time data including trip updates, vehicle positions, and service alerts with GTFS identifiers. Agency users and third-party developers alike can integrate with the GTFS-realtime feeds and API, allowing real-time data to reach more customers.
Service alert integration
When TRANSIT-alerts and TRANSIT-realtime are deployed together, all GTFS-realtime feeds are generated with common GTFS identifiers for trips, stops, and routes. Creation of certain alert types in TRANSIT-alerts generates corrected GTFS-realtime feeds from TRANSIT-realtime, improving consistency for the customer.
