Our redesigned user interface seamlessly knits together multiple regional transportation types and systems, easing trip planning and making public transit a more appealing way to move around Metro Atlanta.

Giving Metro Atlanta’s transit ridership a better guide to getting around
The rapidly growing Metro Atlanta area has been working to regionalize and expand public transit, boost economic development and improve environmental sustainability. The ATL RIDES mobile app held promise to assist with this goal by letting riders plan trips using any of the region’s providers, but its interface was too difficult and confusing.
The Atlanta-Region Transit Link Authority retained IBI Group to redesign the user interface of ATL RIDES, to modernize the app and make it more intuitive and usable. We crafted cleaner visuals, including carefully designed iconography and typography, to make a stream of information readily accessible in an understandable format. The application incorporates real-time data, native iOS user interface components, and savvy ATL branding. A redesigned page flow allows customers to instinctively navigate trip planning, account management, and viewer features for stops and routes.
Our solution provides a competitive, accessible multimodal trip planner for the Atlanta community that improves travellers’ experience.
