Design is concerned with how things work, how they are controlled, and the nature of interaction between people and technology. When done well the results are brilliant, pleasurable buildings.
Evangelos Pantazis is an architectural engineer, building scientist, computational designer and educator. His research expertise is in complex geometric modelling and generative design strategies in conjunction with daylighting, energy modelling and performance driven design workflows across scales. His work empowers non-specialized architects and designers to develop design alternatives which couple critical design parameters with energy demand and supply, comfort, and livability. To date, he has authored and co-authored journal papers, peer reviewed scientific articles and book chapters. Prior to joining IBI in 2019, Evan was a member of i-lab and Schema Lab at the Viterbi School of Engineering, where his research was supported by a fellowship from the National Science Foundation (NSF), the Department of Energy (DOE) and Autodesk Inc. In practice Evangelos has worked for Graft Architects in Berlin, Studio Pei-Zhu in Beijing, Buro Happold Engineering in Los Angeles, has co-founded Topotheque design research studio and he is the CTO of Fablab Ioannina.Evan holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the Viterbi School of Engineering at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, where he was a fellow of both Onassis and Myronis Foundation. Additionally he holds a Master in Computer Aided Architectural Design from the Swiss Federal University of Technology (ETH) in Zurich and a Diploma in Architectural Engineering from the Aristotle’s University in Thessaloniki.

Carlos Gutierrez De Quevedo is a mobility specialist with over ten years of experience researching and working on urban mobility projects. He is considered a subject matter expert for Smart Cities and part of the team developing IBI Group’s profile in Latin America. Carlos has a M.Sc. in Transportation from MIT supplemented by international experience in planning and policy, infrastructure, operations, analytics, and technology projects. His strength lies in his ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in different contexts with well-rounded knowledge in all modes of urban transportation. His signature projects include analytics to infer origin and destination matrices and improve bus schedules in the Basque Country, Spain and outlining the Mobility as a Service vision for Chattanooga, ennessee. These included Chief Engineer/Executive Director and Assistant Deputy Minister, Provincial Highways Management, a role he held until his departure in 2016. Gerry is currently President of the Transportation Association of Canada (TAC) Foundation. Gerry held various roles within TAC, including President from 2014 to 2016 and was a past Chair of the Chief Engineers Council.

Marie Seupersadsingh joined IBI Group shortly after graduating from the University of Toronto with a degree in Computer Science for Data Management. In her 35+ years with IBI Group, Marie has been involved in the design and development of a variety of systems ranging from Traffic Management, Fleet Management, Traveller Information, Incident Processing, to Financial Accounting, Revenue Management and Tolling. She has gained extensive experience in the various phases of the software development life cycle ranging from gathering user specifications and producing functional specifications through software development and implementation to user documentation, testing and training. Marie has demonstrated excellent organizational and planning skills and attention to detail; as well as the ability to communicate effectively with clients, co-workers and various levels of management. Marie designed the back office for the first IBI Toll System in Greece and since then has lead the IBI toll team in the design, development and implementation of information management for each of its many toll systems. She specializes in database design, development and implementation of information management systems.
