James Sorensen specializes in ITS projects and has led a wide variety of advanced public transportation systems, traveller information systems, traffic management applications, and public safety and emergency response technologies. He also has provided ITS strategic planning and technology assessments for a wide variety of public agency and private sector clients. James was the Project Manager for the ITS and Communications Design of the CTfastrak Bus Rapid Transit project, the Bridgeport Connecticut ATMS and Operations project, and the development of regional ITS architecture for Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Puerto Rico. James is a past president of the Intelligent Transportation Society of Massachusetts and a recipient of their Award of Excellence. He has worked on two projects that have received the Intelligent Transportation Society of Connecticut’s Project of the Year Award.
