Steven Kresak is the General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of IBI Group Inc. and is responsible for the firm’s legal affairs worldwide. His accountabilities include the legal, compliance, real estate, insurance and corporate governance functions. Steven is based in Toronto, Ontario, IBI Group’s corporate headquarters. From 2006 through 2014 Steven served at Infrastructure Ontario, in a variety of leadership roles including Director, Special Initiatives; Vice President, Sales and Acquisitions; and Senior Vice President, Commercial Projects, where he led a series of transactions to monetize government assets in the transportation, remanufacturing, entertainment, rail and telecommunications sectors. Prior to 2006, he practiced law at Goodmans LLP. Steven earned a Bachelor of Arts degree (Magna Cum Laude) from the University of Saskatchewan and a Law degree (Distinction) from the University of Alberta. Tom Shannon has 20+ years of experience in the field of systems integration and deployment for public and private sector clients. He has enhanced his technical background in electrical engineering with a Masters of Business Administration and PMP certification. For the past nine years, Tom has been working with the Ministry of Works and Transport in Trinidad as the Project Manager for the successful deployments of the National Traffic Management System, Red Light and Speed Enforcement systems. He recently concluded an assignment as the Project Manager for the Ground Transportation AVI System for the Hillsboro County Aviation Authority at the Tampa Airport. This system monitors and tracks commercial vehicles and assesses fees based on the vehicle and type of trip. Marcus leads IBI’s masterplanning team in the South-East of England, bringing over 30 years’ experience in mixed-use development for both public and private sector clients.

Marcus works across IBI’s sectors, combining our expertise in health, education and technology into a distinctive approach to place-making, providing advice to NHS England for their Healthy New Town programme; and leading on projects that link place quality with innovation, including the Sheffield Advanced Manufacturing Innovation District and Lancaster University’s Health Innovation Campus.

Marcus’s regeneration plan for Barnsley won the 2016 Masterplanner of the Year Award and he is currently advising Southend Council on procurement of a development partner for a major regeneration project.

International projects include a master plan for Orléans, a university campus in Qijianga, China and a new township in Pune, India. Marcus is currently working on a series of pilot projects for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Larry Baldwin is a multi-modal (speech and touch input) interaction design specialist who has designed and deployed mobile, telematics, web and in-home speech, touch-screen and web-browser applications for the past 12 years. He is a visionary in multi-modal application design with three patents to his name (one pending). Larry lead the interaction design of unique Alaska 511 and South Carolina 511 mobile websites and was the interaction designer for the Florida 511 iPhone application. He was also the lead designer of telematics (in-car) applications such as the Pioneer in-dash system (AVIC-Z1 In-Dash HDD Navigation and Multimedia AV Receiver with DVD). In addition to transportation-related IVR system and application design, Larry was the also the lead speech designer for Voco (The World?s First Voice controlled Wireless Music System). He brings a wealth of design experience and understands the challenges inherent in system design and deployment.
