Based in the Portland office, Rebecca is part of the Learning+ team and has specialized in educational architecture and sustainable design during her 17 years of professional practice. A leader at IBI Group for nearly a decade, she is an astute project manager and effective communicator who ensures that design intent is carried through a project from concept to construction. She deftly balances sustainability, budget, timeline, stakeholder engagement, and innovative, results-oriented design in her service to clients and community. Rebecca is a LEED Accredited Professional with the U.S. Green Building Council and an Architects-in-School Program Member with the Architectural Foundation of Oregon.  She played an integral role in the successful completion of award-winning LEED Gold projects including Parkrose Middle School Replacement, Sandy High School, and Trillium Creek Primary School. Rebecca was also involved in the design of the Snohomish Aquatic Center, a truly unique facility north of Seattle.

John Knape is a qualified Architect with over 30 years of post-qualification experience and has been especially committed to the design of healthcare facilities and building types which fulfil social needs. His experience covers work in both the public and private sectors and he can draw upon a thorough knowledge of relevant design standards including Department of Health Building Notes and Technical Memoranda. John has experience of a wide range of procurement methods including traditional and two-stage tendering, design & build, partnering, management contracting and PFI and in his role as the practice’s Frameworks Director, has been instrumental in leading successful bid processes to secure IBI’s position as Primary Supply Chain Members on all three UK national healthcare Frameworks. John has recently led teams on a number of projects in both the acute and primary care sectors, including the award winning development at Broadgreen Hospital, Liverpool. As Chief Operations Director, Audrey Jacob is responsible for the firm’s global Marketing & Communications, Human Resources and the office leases for IBI’s 60+ offices. She works alongside the other members of the Executive Team and senior leadership on the operational aspects of the firm. Having joined IBI Group in 1986, she is very familiar with the firm’s history, its work and its people. An important area of focus for Audrey relates to guiding and developing a work environment and policies that embrace Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging Audrey is a Registered Professional Planner (RPP) and a Professional Land Economist (PLE) with more than 25 years of experience. Previously, she led the firm’s Real Estate Economic & Planning practice, specializing in growth management/land needs, market analysis, development/financial feasibility/strategy, economic impact, development charges, and municipal financial impact analysis. Audrey has a BA in Geography from the University of Toronto and a Masters of Urban Planning from McGill University. She is the Chair of the Executive Committee of Pragma Council at the University of Waterloo, a forum of business, education and government leaders; a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI); and a Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI) Champion.

Mike Murray specializes in the design of civil, utility, and transportation infrastructure projects for public- and private-sector clients across a broad range of project types, including traditional and non-traditional public sector transportation, municipal and county clients, commercial and residential development, parks, trails, and schools. Every building has its own idiosyncratic constraints of context, site, program, budget, and vocabulary. The challenge is to successfully resolve them into a gracefully crafted architectural composition. Our role as designers is to ensure that each building has its own personality and responds appropriately to its urban context. This is what we do best.
Mr. Kazerouni is the Global Director of Buildings at IBI. Mr. Kazerouni graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a Master’s degree, in 1991. With over 25 years of experience, he has a significant portfolio of projects completed or underway across Canada, the United States, the UK, UAE, Jordan and India. These include high density high-rise residential buildings, hotels, office, retail, institutional, and complex urban mixed-use developments. A number of these projects have been nominated for and received Urban Design and Architectural Design awards. Mr. Kazerouni has been a guest lecturer on the subject of architecture and mixed-use design at universities, conferences and various panels. He has also been interviewed on the subject by architectural publications, newspapers, television and other media. Mr. Kazerouni’s abilities and expertise in his field have been recognized by his appointment to the City of Mississauga’s Urban Design Advisory Panel, the City of Markham’s Urban Design Advisory Panel and the City of Vaughan’s Urban Design Advisory Panel. He is also a past Advisory Board Member of the Urban Land Institute, and a member of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada.
