Amer has over 20 years of experience in architectural design and construction for various building typologies. He has a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and Engineering from the Technical University of Budapest, Hungary. Following graduation, Amer worked in the United Arab Emirates as a member of the government architectural and engineering staff with responsibilities that developed from design review and detailing to complete design and construction supervision for numerous projects, including major public, residential and industrial developments. He joined IBI’s transit architecture group in early 2001 to 2005 and continued his architectural career in Verona Italy for several years prior to rejoining IBI Group in 2009. For six years, Joe Peters had been the President and a Principal Consultant at Peters Energy Solutions, an energy industry consulting company with a focus in Alberta. The company was acquired by IBI Group and is involved in the development of over 600 MW of wind, solar and gas generation projects. Specific to solar power development, Peters Energy had represented both project developers and landowners, and provided services for project development, grid connections, off-grid projects, revenue modelling, technology selection and regulatory hearings.
