There is nothing more rewarding than knowing that your designs have made a difference - however small. Having been lucky enough to work on significant projects designed specifically for children (from birth to adulthood) improving those patient’s journeys has been an amazing experience.
Charles first joined IBI in 1997 working in the London office. Moving to Belfast in 2011, he re-joined the company in 2022 with a desire to broaden his experience of quality design projects outside of Northern Ireland in the context of a changing climate. Healthcare is his focus, where having been involved in new build projects at Great Ormond Street, he then led the design and delivery of the Ulster Maternity Hospital and Women & Children’s Projects in Belfast. He is a proactive and highly motivated architect with a wide range of experience in design and construction. Charles has specialised in the management, design and co-ordination of complex projects at various stages within the design process. Charles is a talented designer, who has worked in partnership with several universities and is acutely aware of the benefits good design can bring to our clients.

The biggest strength of IBI is its philosophy of looking at the cities from the dimension of a citizen while working for the betterment of the cities.
Visweswara (Vissu) joined IBI Group as a Transportation Systems Engineer in 2007, fresh out of the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. As one of IBI India’s first hires, he began his career working on tolling and highway Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) implementation projects. Over the last 15 years, he has completed numerous complicated projects in both the consulting and systems implementation domains. With his zest for innovation motivated by actual field application, he played a crucial role in establishing IBI Group as a Systems Technology Leader in the region by completing multiple large projects. The Indore BRT Project—the firm’s first World Bank-funded project in India, which helped the firm secure a stream of World Bank contracts in the years that followed; and the Hyderabad ITMS Project—which aided IBI in building the Software Development practice in Hyderabad, allowing him to contribute to the firm’s new direction. At present, he is very actively involved in transforming the company along with the leadership team towards the aim of making IBI a Technology-Driven Design Firm under IBI’s Digital/ PIVOT initiative. His goal is to make IBI synonymous with Software Product Technology in the domains of Intelligence, Buildings, and Infrastructure.

Jorge Arevalo has 25 years of experience in the aerospace and electrical consulting industries and has been involved in electrical specifications, schematic and detail design for all electrical building systems for commercial, industrial and government buildings. Roberto Jenkins specializes in the design and development of mixed-use masterplanning and redevelopment projects, with a particular focus on large, transit-oriented development sites along the US/Canada West coast. Roberto is active in several Bay Area TOD projects, and led the masterplanning and concept architecture of two adjoining phases in the Candlestick Point redevelopment, totaling over 2,000 residential units in 33 acres. He was responsible for the architectural detailing on IBI’s first certified passive house building and continues to grow his portfolio in residential, cultural and healthcare buildings, which meet this stringent building energy standard. Padraig’s knowledge of high-performance building is combined with his whole life carbon analysis studies, accounting for embodied carbon to achieve carbon neutral buildings. Danielle Sernoskie is a licensed Architect with the OAA and is an Associate Manager within the Transit Architecture Team at IBI Group.
